Are you looking for an internship that will help you make a difference professionally and within your community? Become a Student Ambassador for the City of Garland and join the more than 2,000 employees that work every day to make Garland a great place to live, work, and play!
During the 8-week paid internship program, students will gain meaningful work experience, obtain skills training, and attend programmed events throughout the summer focused on the value of careers in public service.
Internships begin Monday, June 13 and end on Friday, August 5, 2022.
Start and end dates may vary depending on placement.
2022 Career Tracks include:
- Administrative/Office/Clerical
- Engineering/Professional/Licensed/Public Safety
- Skilled Trades/Service/Maintenance
- Seasonal Programs (Aquatics, Firewheel Golf, etc.)
Earning Potential
High School Students
High School students/Recent graduates, typically start at $8.75/hour min.
College/Skilled Trade Students
College, University, or Trade School Students/Graduates, typically start at $13/hour min.
*Seasonal Programs Students hourly wage may vary depending on position and returning status
