Conservation

The City of Garland Water Utilities department is dedicated to the efficient use of water in our community.

Currently our conservation program consists of accurate meter reading, yearly outdoor irrigation schedules, utility bill credits for new toilets and wash machines, educational classes and social media posts.  To explore more about our conservation program, see the Conservation Plan & Watering Schedule tab on the left.

Our conservation credit program is very popular with residential customers.  If you purchase a new toilet or clothes washing machine, simply fill out the application under Toilet/Clothes Washer Credit Program.  Follow the instructions on the application and once approved, you'll receive a credit on your utility bill.  Tell your friends and neighbors in Garland!

Thank you for using water efficiently!

Now a short video from our supplier, the North Texas Municipal Water District about the rates they charge our city for wholesale water.
