The North Texas Municipal Water District has officially discontinued all drought stages.  The City of Garland is no longer operating under its Drought Contingency Plan.
 
Although drought-related water use restrictions are no longer in effect, the City will continue to enforce its Water Conservation Ordinance.  Key points of that plan include:
  • No outdoor irrigation between the hours of 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.
  • Newly-installed irrigations systems must be equipped with rain and freeze sensors
