Residents can drop off normal household waste for free. Simply:
Bring proof of residency in the form of a valid Texas driver's license or current utility bill
Unload the waste yourself
Only bring waste from the household where you reside
Non-Garland residents and commercial customers will be charged a per-ton fee based on the type of vehicle.
Security deposit is required
Minimum charge of $10
All major credit cards accepted except American Express
Cash-no bills larger than $20 please
Local checks only-bring a copy of the driver's license of the person who signed the check

Obtain a landfill pass from Rowlett's Public Works Department, Utility Billing Department or the City Secretary's Office.
Present landfill pass, drivers' license and City of Rowlett utility bill to attendant.
Rowlett residents requesting access without a landfill pass will be charged the standard rate.
The landfill cannot accept:
Liquids
Motor-driven vehicles
Fuel tanks, used oil filters or other devices that use to contain petroleum-based compounds such as gasoline, fuel oil, hydraulic fluid, lubricants, or other chemicals
Debris from non-hazardous chemical spills
Friable asbestos
Sandblast grit and non-liquid paint wastes
Infectious or hospital waste
High-pH and low-pH materials
Spent filter media residue
Hazardous waste
Lead acid batteries
Pesticides or other home use chemicals
Items containing chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs)
Tires
Commercial loads of electronics, including televisions, office machines and computer equipment
Large appliances such as ovens, dishwashers, refrigerators, air conditioners, etc.
